# configurator-share

> Shares a link to this page with the visitor's configuration: one url parameter per configurator field, named as its control (name: ?Engraving=abc&Finish=gloss&width=120), plus ?variant= when the product has more than one. A page opened from such a link starts every configurator field from its parameter, applied as a visitor would (the same input / change, so a value the field refuses stays off: below min, an option the select does not have; text cut at maxlength), and the price follows; names the page does not have are ignored, and a file stays out of the link (uploaded again). The device's share sheet where there is one, else the link is copied (data-copy: always copied).

## Where it can go

- **Inside** [`smootify-add-to-cart`](https://www.smootify.io/docs/reference/elements/smootify-add-to-cart).
- **Out of place,** Smootify removes it from the page.

## What it requires

- The **server plan**: on other plans Smootify removes the element from the page.
- The **Product configurator** extension (server plan, the extension activated in the Smootify dashboard, the licensed domain). Without it, its markup is removed from the page.

## Attributes on the element

- **It reads** `data-copy`, `data-title`.
- **Smootify writes** `is-shared`, `is-copied` on it: do not set them yourself.
