# currency-code

`currency-code` is a **template**, read by [`country-switcher`](https://www.smootify.io/docs/reference/elements/country-switcher): it is never defined on its own.

## Where it can go

- **Anywhere** on the page.
- **Out of place,** it stays in the page and does nothing: without a country-switcher on the page.

## What it requires

Nothing beyond Smootify: it works on every plan.
