Smootify 2.0 has no automatic placeholders; add a skeleton attribute where you want one.
The symptom. While products load, the page shows your placeholder texts instead of a grey shimmer, as 1.x did.
Why. 1.x made every text, image and button shimmer on its own. 2.0 lets you choose: only elements with a skeleton attribute are placeholders.
The fix. Add the custom attribute skeleton to the elements that should shimmer, with the shape you want: text, button, block, image, or hide to keep an element hidden until it is filled. Smootify removes it from each element as soon as it fills it.
