Smootify 2.0 is in public beta. Your 1.x store keeps working. Move when you want.

What changed
Shopify Flows

Automations you don’t have to build.

Shopify Flow reacts to what happens in your store. These are the flows that pair with Smootify elements, each with its trigger, what it needs and where people get stuck. Most come as a .flow file you import; the two booking flows install as templates of the Smootify app.

Backend, without writing a backend.

Most of these flows run on the same loop. Webflow writes, Shopify keeps, Flow reacts, Smootify reads back. None of it needs a server of your own.

  1. 01

    Webflow writes

A normal Webflow form with the metaobject creator. Each input name matches a field key.

  2. 02

    Shopify keeps

The entry becomes a real metaobject: in your admin, linked to products and customers.

  3. 03

    Flow reacts

Shopify Flow fires on a trigger, checks conditions, and sends, tags or updates.

  4. 04

    Smootify reads back

The same data shows on your site with elements you already use.

Also

Some flows start in Shopify instead of a form: an order is fulfilled, stock comes back, a quote arrives. Same last three steps.

The library.

22 flows, each with its trigger, conditions and actions. 20 can be imported from a file; the booking flows are templates of the Smootify app, installed from Shopify Flow’s Templates.

What every flow needs.

Shopify Flow

A separate app from Shopify, free in Shopify. Install it once; every flow here is imported or built inside it.

Shopify App Store

The Server plan, for forms

When a form writes a metaobject or a quote becomes a draft order, the Smootify server does the writing. Flows that start in Shopify do not need it.

A metaobject definition

Created in Shopify before the form, with a key for each form field. Active-draft status only to approve entries before they show, Storefront access only when the site shows them.
