Trade registration
A trade application sent from your site tags the customer as pending and reaches your sales team on Slack; when you approve them with a tag, Shopify Flow tells them their trade account is active.
How it runs.
A Webflow form writes a metaobject; Shopify Flow takes it from there.
Workflow 1When the application arrives
- TriggerMetaobject entry created
- Action 1
Tag the customer
pro-pending - Action 2
Send the application to the sales channel on Slack, with the company, the VAT number, the website, links to the documents and the customer in the admin (“Send Slack message”, Slack app)
Workflow 2When you approve it
- TriggerCustomer tags added
When you add the tag
pro. - ConditionCheck if
- The tags added include

Otherwise the workflow stops here.

Email the customer that their trade account is active, with a button to their account (the file sends it with a “Send HTTP request” to Resend)

Where people get stuck.
- 01
Approving is your step: add the tag
proto the customer in the admin. Workflow 2 does the rest. - 02
A tag hides and shows parts of the site, it does not protect prices: set trade prices in Shopify, with a discount for the tag, a quote or a B2B catalog.
- 03
The application has company data: keep the definition without Storefront access.
Get the .flow file.
In Shopify Flow, choose Import and pick the file. The workflow opens turned off: check that it reads your metaobject definition and its field keys, then turn it on.
Shopify plan. This file sends its email with Flow’s “Send HTTP request”, which runs only on the Grow, Advanced and Plus plans. On Basic, replace that step with the action of an app that sends transactional emails from Shopify Flow, such as Workflow Email: the rest of the workflow stays as it is.
