The calculated price travels as a hidden line attribute and reaches the order through a draft order. When a cart holds one, the whole cart pays on a draft order invoice, not the Shopify checkout: check discounts and Shop Pay. Works on Shopify Basic, Grow and Advanced, no Plus needed; in 2.0 the Draft orders add-on is no longer required.

Width and drop typed in centimeters, the fabric from a dropdown: the price follows the size as the customer types.
Furniture built to order
Top, finish and legs as dropdowns and checkboxes, each adding its own amount to the base price.
Signs priced by the letter
A text input whose formula counts the characters: “Open late” costs more than “Open”, and the text reaches the order.
