Review request after delivery
A few days after an order is fulfilled, the customer gets a link to review what they bought on your site.
How it runs.
It starts in Shopify: no form involved.
- TriggerOrder fulfilled
- ConditionCheck if
- Wait 5 days after fulfillment
- The order’s customer has an email address
Otherwise the workflow stops here.
- Action
Email the customer one button per product of the order, each to its reviews on your site (the file sends it with a “Send HTTP request” to Resend)
What you need, and how to install it.
- Shopify Flow, free in Shopify
- Plan: Server
- Add-on: Metaobject creator

- Install Shopify Flow from the Shopify App Store. It is free in Shopify, but it is a separate app.
- In Shopify, create the metaobject definition
reviewwith the fields below. Turn on Active-draft status and Storefront access. - Switch on the Metaobject creator add-on in the Smootify dashboard.
- Place the Smootify element in Webflow:
metaobject-creatorwithdata-type=reviewanddata-draft. - Download the .flow file and import it in Shopify Flow.
- Give the reviews section of the product page the ID
reviewsin Webflow: the buttons of the email land on it. - Put
data-drafton the form. Reviews arrive as drafts and go live only when you approve them in Shopify. - Draw the stars in Webflow from the rating:
metaobject="rating"sets--metafield-rating, the rating as a share of its scale, for a fill as wide as that share. The form sends a plain number, such as 4, and Smootify’s server writes it on the field’s scale. - Test it once with a real submission or order, then turn the flow on.
Where people get stuck.
- 01
Without
data-draft, everything is published unchecked, including the first offensive review. - 02
Without Storefront access on the definition, reviews are saved but the site cannot read them back.
- 03
The rating field needs its scale in Shopify, such as 1 to 5: a number outside it is refused, and the Error message of the form shows why.
- 04
The form needs the Server plan.
Get the .flow file.
In Shopify Flow, choose Import and pick the file. The workflow opens turned off: check that it reads your metaobject definition and its field keys, then turn it on.
The email goes through Resend with a “Send HTTP request”. In that step, replace UNSET_RESEND_API_KEY with your Resend API key, put a sender on a domain you verified in Resend, and point the buttons to your Webflow site (https://www.example.com/products/<handle>#reviews). To send it with another app, such as Workflow Email, replace the step with that app’s action.
Shopify plan. This file sends its email with Flow’s “Send HTTP request”, which runs only on the Grow, Advanced and Plus plans. On Basic, replace that step with the action of an app that sends transactional emails from Shopify Flow, such as Workflow Email: the rest of the workflow stays as it is.
