Smootify in this build
  • Connects the Shopify store and its product data to the Webflow front end.
  • Sends newsletter sign-ups from the Webflow footer to Shopify, into a customer segment the brand emails and automates from.
  • Runs the buy page: preset bundles, bought once or as a monthly delivery.
01

The brand

Tasty Nate’s makes premium chips fried in beef tallow: seed-oil free, three ingredients, potatoes, salt and tallow.

The store is headless. Shopify holds the catalogue, orders and checkout; Webflow is what customers see; Smootify connects the two. The builder names four reasons for going headless: more control over SEO, full design control, quick changes and new features, and a team that runs the site in-house after handover, without a developer on retainer.

02

The product, in full glory

The chips bag was modelled in Blender, with chips placed around it. A cursor interaction moves both, and GSAP animates elements on load and on scroll, so the page has the brand’s personality from the first second.

One scene per section

Each section has its own colour and its own scene. The comparison chart sits in a grass field with 2D cows and hay bales pointing at it.

An artist set the illustration style, the team trained a custom model on OpenArt AI to grow the library, and a 2D animator brought most illustrations to life in Rive.

Reviews and the newsletter

The testimonials section is a body of water, with a Swiper slider of customer quotes.

The footer carries the newsletter. Through Smootify, a sign-up lands in Shopify as part of a specific customer segment, ready for emails and automations.

05

The buy page

From the home page the customer lands on a buy page: pick a preset bundle, then buy once or subscribe to a monthly delivery. The bag and the chips follow the cursor here too, so the product stays in sight until checkout.
