A product sold with one variant per amount; Shopify turns each sale into a code, emailed to the buyer or a recipient, that anyone can spend at checkout.
In Shopify, a gift card is a product of a special kind: it has a page, photos and one variant per amount, such as $25, $50 and $100. Gift cards must be turned on first, under Products › Gift cards.
When someone buys one, Shopify creates a code with that balance and emails it, to the buyer or to the recipient they name, on the day they choose, with a message. Anyone with the code can spend it at checkout, in one or more orders, until the balance is used.
Stores can also issue gift cards by hand from the admin, without a sale.
In Webflow terms
A gift card is a normal product on your site, synced to the Products collection like any other, with a few extra fields in its form.
