Which Shopify plan does a Smootify store need?

Shopify's monthly subscription for the store (Starter, Basic, Grow, Advanced, Plus); Smootify works from Basic up, because the Starter plan cannot use the Headless channel, and Smootify's own plan is billed on the same Shopify invoice.

Every Shopify store pays a monthly plan to Shopify. The plans differ in fees, reports, staff accounts and advanced features:

  • Starter: selling through links and social media, without a storefront of its own;
  • Basic, Grow and Advanced: full stores, with lower card fees as the plan goes up;
  • Plus: for large stores, with checkout customization, more B2B catalogs and more automation.

A store being built for a client does not need a plan yet: it can be a development store, free until it is handed over.

In Webflow terms

A Webflow site plan pays for the site and its hosting. A Shopify plan pays for the store behind it. A Smootify store has both, plus Smootify’s plan, which is billed by Shopify on the store’s invoice.

In Smootify

Smootify needs the Basic plan or above, because the Starter plan cannot use Shopify’s Headless channel:
