A business customer with its locations, the people who buy for it and its own catalog of prices, quantity rules and payment terms; it is how Shopify sells wholesale from the same store.
Shopify’s B2B features let one store sell to businesses and to the public. A company is the business customer:
- locations: its offices or shops, each with its addresses, tax details and payment terms;
- contacts: the customers who buy for it, each linked to one or more locations;
- catalogs: which products the company sees, at which prices, with quantity rules such as a minimum of 10 or packs of 6;
- payment terms: pay now, or within 30 days, for example.
A contact logs in and buys on behalf of a company location: the prices, rules and terms of that location apply. Shopify’s B2B is on every paid plan; outside Shopify Plus, a store can have at most 3 active B2B catalogs.
In Webflow terms
There is nothing like it in Webflow. On the site, a company contact sees the same pages as everyone else, with their own prices and rules.
In Smootify
Once a contact logs in, prices, availability and quantity rules follow their company location. variant="quantity-min", "quantity-max" and "quantity-increment" show the rules, company-metafield shows the company’s own fields, and a quote cart can send the order as a request instead.
